Need assistance with GTN not loading

I am constantly having loading issues with the GTN 750. I am not receiving any input on my first post. Has the support gone silent here?

RXP GTN 750 Update is current.

X-Plane 11.0.50.33 

Screen is black and just says REBOOTING

The trainer loads fine on the desktop Ver. 2.7.1.0

Looks like Jean-Luc doesn't show up for almost a month, I'm starting to think something bad happened. Never seen him away for so long. I hope he is ok.

Well, I reinstalled the Trainer, and it is starting up and working again. Still 6624, not sure what changed. Here are the New Logs.

Still no traffic on Pilotedge showing up on the TCAD. Ryan TCAD is checked, and Use Simulator Traffic is Un-checked, and AI Traffic in X-Plane is None.

Thank you for the log files and your kind words!

The log file is showing there was something amiss which lead the GTN to try reloading the trainer a second time. The information is pointing to a problem with the video card drivers most likely.

Have you cross checked you've configured Windows to run the trainer on your discrete GPU in case you have both discrete (NVidia/AMD) and embedded (in the Intel CPU)? If you're in this case please review the RXP User's Manual troubleshooting section for this topic.

You might want to also manually edit the RealityXP.GTN.ini file in notepad and add the following:

[GTN_750_1]
LogTrainer = 5
DebugValue = 1
...

Next time you run XP11 the GTN log files shall have more details about what is going on.

 Thank you very much for your rapid reply. I will add the additional text to the .ini file and report back. I will also make sure the Trainer is running on my GPU card.

Perhaps getting the more detailed report might lead us to the reason the Ryan TCAD is no longer working on PE??

I'm not sure for PE and TCAD. You might want to compare with and without Use Simulator AI Traffic just in case? Are you sure PE supports the new XP11.50 TCAD datarefs?

Well Dang! I didn't know that there could be something on the PE end. Tried with and without "Use AI Traffic".

Do you mean just adding these lines solved the problem (as seen in the log file there is no OGL error anymore) or did you do something else regarding the video card question?

As for PE and traffic I've found these threads about WIP so far:

If they are still not implementing the new TCAS datarefs and are using the older ones, provided XP11.50 is capable of dealing with both the newest or the oldest (I'm not sure it can), you should be able to have PE traffic in the GTN like before (add AI aircraft in XP11 and enable GTN "Use AI Traffic"?)

So you are saying we should be adding traffic in X-Plane now, and also turning on AI Traffic in the GTN?

 

My GPU was already set to run the GTN. I'm not sure why it started working. Adding the two lines I doubt would be why, but who knows?

The latter of those two links has long since been resolved. The only current issue is being able to use TCAD or TCAS. Unfortunately it doesn't appear to be a high priority as I see not many people are talking about it on the PE discord. 😢

What I'm saying is that if PE is still not using the new TCAS datarefs exclusive to XP11.50+, then they are most likely using the older ones. In this case you'd also need to use the older methods for these to work even in XP11.50 (add some AI Traffic so that there are slots and check "Use AI Traffic" in the GTN).

Otherwise if they are using the new TCAS datarefs, there is no reason it won't work with the GTN as-is. It works great with Traffic Global for example so we know there is no bug on this end of the equation, or at least, no bug that I know of yet.

You might want to ensure they are properly using the new TCAS datarefs with XP11.50?
