October 13, 20205 yr Commercial Member The running sim reads the scenery from the cache, not the library configuration files. Usually the cache is rebuilt automatically when the sim starts, but sometimes the simulator doesn't "get" it, that you made changes to the scenery library. That doesn't happen very often, the "clearing" feature is just a precaution. By clearing the cache you force the sim to create a new one - so you can be certain that what you have arranged in the library is actually what you see in the sim.
