XPlane 11 freezes now with GTN750 after 40+ minutes

Featured Replies

All seems working fine per your flight, and the log!

Please note if you're used to fly the GTN with a G1000 aircraft this is not supposed to be working properly because like I said, X-Plane G1000 is taking full control over any other 3rd party plugin. This is unrelated to the OpenGL error you've reported but this is worth knowing.

So there is definitely a problem with OpenGL of some sort when using the G1000 + the GTN because you're confirming the same G1000 aircraft without the GTN won't produce the same error isn't it? I'm afraid this one is going to be a little hard to track but we can try in cross-checking different combinations and your help.

Okay- I don't mind doing a bug hunt. And will keep your caveats in mind.I still do some steam guage 172 flights in Washington and Arizona

Bit puzzled by the vFlyteAir_PiperArrowIII_v5 freeze.

Then I will try vFlyteAir_PiperArrowIII_v5 in Hawaii without the mesh-I should note when I fly that one I'm using the Aspen 1000 option in that plane. And that particular plane has a number of steam guage pop-outs. Aircraft is set up for GTN 650-but i'm using the 750 pop-outs.

Carenado T210 is also a puzzle. It is set up for the GTN750.

But what that aircraft and PiperArrow have in common is that they are addon aircraft.

These aircraft have something else in common if I'm not mistaken: they are using SASL... Have you made sure the developers have updated or validated these aircraft for XP11.50?

Both updated.

STMA Autoupdater plugin version 3.10 for VFlyteAir Piper had an update October 19. Fixed a bug where a portion of rghtside of ASPEN display didnt show. Fixed on my aircraft now. But freezing was happening before this.

https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?%2Fforums%2Ftopic%2F228779-missing-right-side-of-aspen-pop-out%2F=

Carenado SkunkCrafts Updater up to 2.5. Nothing newer. I click update and repair and there was nothing to repair or fix.

Only thing I ever did to this a/c was a 'homebrew' mod where I took out a co-pilot passenger object.

Well-I tried EVERYTHING.

One time it actually flew the route with an addon plane ( everything else vanilla) from beginning to end without freezing!

I'm going to uninstall the game and then clean out any residue and then reinstall.

Temperature isn't a problem. I have a utility monitoring it. No log of freezes because everything in XP-11 just stops.

Do you still get similar errors in the log file?

Please note there seems to be a missing sound file which is used by ATC?!

Nevertheless, with this kind of error the entire GFX stack is halted and XP11 shouldn't display anything any longer. This is a an error in XP11 OGL code, and if you're using XP11 in Vulkan, this error triggers from a plugin only. In this case, the GTN is not using the underlying OGL object which the log is referring to (VBO). Have you got any feedback from your bug submisssion?

I did a clean uninstall. I mean EVERYTHING was gone from STEAM Folder. Reinstalled it. Only addon was GTN 750 and one custom aircraft

Used the Stock Cessna 172 with steam gauges and the vFlyteAir_PiperArrowIII with GTN pop-up. Same result at same  point both flights. FREEZE and the spinning blue ball.

As I have posted before-I avoid using Vulkan due to flashing pop-ups

Nothing logged as CRASH since when it Freezes nothing gets written in the log file or GTN750  rxpGtnSim.dll.log  .

In the XP log file it has a number of AI aircraft with notation

Tried playing a wave file that doesn't exist: ')'

How could this be? It is a new install?

I've come to the conclusion that XP11.50 and GTN 750 just dont work on my pc configuration

So I'll fly XP 11 without the GTN addon untill they add another patch to XP.

There are CRASHES and there are FREEZES-when you get a FREEZE;nothing gets logged

Ok I ran it without ATC verbal or text enabled- but it still froze. but log shows no more Tried playing a wave file that doesn't exist: ')'

But I have  noticed one peculiar thing several times-when I have to CNTRL_ALT_DELETE out with the stock 172 and add on Piper

When I cancel the command CNTRL_ALT_DELETE it takes me back to a FROZEN view but the location I see is one to two miles away from the runway where are started!

Not the over 50+ miles and 6000 ft up in the air where the sim FROZE. You can here the engine sound. That never FREEZES

What's that? Like playing the sim over a sim.

It seems you might have not told what your operating system is?

There is another customer having flashing screen when using the GNS with XP11.50 in OGL mode on Win7 (not in Vulkan mode).
