VFR Map freezes

Featured Replies

Probably covered somewhere (but I can't find it):

Along with the unclickable cockpit controls (which I found the solution for - now pinned in Tips & Tricks), I also sometimes have a VFR Map which won't track my flight - it stays at the point of departure, with my plane symbol stationary. I can open and close the map, maximise and minimise it, click both of it's buttons (though nothing happens other than the button animation itself).

Whilst opening and resizing the ATC window clears the mouse click problem in the cockpit, it doesn't solve this issue.

Any ideas while I await the availability of the FS Map Tool for Android devices? I don't want to use another app, just solve the freezing.

Are you using Navigraph? Outdated versions for MSFS apparently cause the map to freeze.

Nope, no third party map-related apps of any kind.

The only aircraft 'behaviour' related mods in my Community folder are the Bonanza Turbo V2 and C152X. Everything else is just airports, scenery, liveries and a ground crew livery. I was getting this before either aircraft mod was added. I could of course remove everything from the folder and replace a few at a time until I saw a freeze again, but it's pretty infrequent so it would likely take ages to find a connection if one even exists. I currently have 151 add-ons (folders) in there.

And I've never had the glass cockpit refresh mod at all.
