Safedock or marshaller add-ons for FSX?

Featured Replies

Hi everyone.  I am new to this type of add-ons, and I may have the terms incorrect.  After my commercial airliner flights, I have been switching from the virtual cockpit view to the birds' eye view for the last part of my taxis to gates to ensure I park at the correct spots.  I want to be able to park airliners at gates while keeping my eyes on the virtual cockpit the whole time for enhanced immersion.    I believe GSX has safedock lights and/or marshallers to tell me how close I am to the correct parking spot.  Are there other add-ons, freeware or otherwise, that can do the same thing?  I'm fine if only numbers and no human or light system appears.  I just want something to keep my eyes out of the front windshield rather than above my plane.  Thank you for any further insight.

I'm not aware of a generic add-on which does this for every airport which has relevant parking spots. It may be on an individual airport. e.g I'll have to check, but I'm sure UK2000's EGCC has safe dock signs where appropriate.

The paid version of GSX has marshallers for all airports, it seems.  For now I fly to default airports so I'm planning on getting this unless there are other add-ons that do the same thing.

I found Ultimate Ground Crew X by FS2Crew as well.

In the end I went with GSX.  Its recent Level 2 expansion was most appealing to me.
