November 5, 20205 yr The wonderful Ultra File Search took about 4 seconds to find all the flight_model.cfg files, but I could not associate any filename with the Aerobat C152. The arrow points to the file that does alter the normal C152 when you edit it. But editing that file is not changing anything for the Aerobat C152. How does MSFS decide which flight_model.cfg to use for a given plane? There has to be a pointer somewhere that points to a particular folder for each plane. Anyway, I am trying to modify the Aeorobat but can't find which flight_model.cfg that it uses. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. November 5, 20205 yr I think C152 Aerobat are encrypted and and the standard 152 has open files. System: I ASRock X670E | AMD 7800X3D | 64Gb DDR5 6000 | RTX 4090 | 2TB NVMe | Seasonic Vertex 1000W I LG Ultra Gear 34 UW I
November 5, 20205 yr People have had some limited success at modifying the premium/deluxe aircraft but it cannot be done by modifying the files directly, as Ixoye says, they are encrypted.
November 5, 20205 yr If you are not familiar with the C-152X mode, it is a great alternative to the standard C-152. https://github.com/DRF30q/C152X System: I ASRock X670E | AMD 7800X3D | 64Gb DDR5 6000 | RTX 4090 | 2TB NVMe | Seasonic Vertex 1000W I LG Ultra Gear 34 UW I
November 5, 20205 yr Author oh, ok. No wonder I can't find it. LOL. Thanks. And thanks for the C152X link. It looks interesting.
