November 8, 20205 yr I did a reset of my sim that turned out to be unnecessary, and in the process lost all of my custom views for each plane. I thought it would be the cameras.cfg in each plane folder, but that didn't restore my saved views. Does anyone know specifically what needs to be backed up in this regard? Curt Branch
November 8, 20205 yr Not sure about MS Store version, but Steam version custom camera cfg's for each aircraft are located here: %appdata%\Microsoft Flight Simulator\SimObjects\Airplanes\[aircraft folder] Note: there are aircraft folders in the %appdata%\Microsoft Flight Simulator\SimObjects folder as well. Those contain "state.cfg" which appear to be the engine run times for each aircraft. Hope that helps. ...jim ASUS Prime Z790-E, Intel i9 13900K, 32Gb DDR5 Ram, Nvidia 3090 24Gb, Samsung 970 EVO Plus 500 GB and 1 TB, Samsung Odyssey G9 Ultrawide 49" G-SYNC Monitor.
November 8, 20205 yr Author Jim, you got me on the right path, thank you! I have the MS Store version, and their are TWO camera.cfg's for each plane you use the custom views option. The one to back up is Appdata/Local/Packages/MicrosoftFlightSimulator_8wek..etc.../LocalCache/Simobjects/Airplanes. In this Airplanes folder you will only have the planes where you have saved views for. Now if I could just figure out how to stop the panning/swivel between each view. I've tinkered with that for awhile but can't seem to have success there. Curt Branch
