We live on the near Maryland Eastern Shore and have a daughter and family who are in Shippensburg, Pa. I landed at Chambersburg today, then flew on up to State College, Pa. For the first time today, late in my flight to State College, I encountered the AP trying to kill me issue. I had deactivated the AP to do some hand flying, then reactivated it. When the issue started I was able to deactivate the AP in time to recover from a horrible spin and landed safely. Brought back memories of my spin recovery training. That was in 1971. I have not flown myself since 1985. Here are a couple of more screen captures. Both are of freeware mods. One for Three Mile Island, Pa. The other for State College and the Penn State campus.
