November 22, 20205 yr I was trying to export a flight plan compiled by P2A as a text file to use in Rotate's MD-80 FMC. It exports seeming okay but when I open the 'text' file it looks like it is filled with Chinese characters?
November 22, 20205 yr Commercial Member I just tried one and it worked normally. If you can save the flight plan in question as a .vbf plan and email to [email protected], I'll have a look at it. Dave
November 22, 20205 yr Author I'll try to get to it today. Will also post a screenshot of the Chinese text. P2A text by Tom Whit, on Flickr Edited November 22, 20205 yr by UlteriorModem
November 22, 20205 yr Author Well hell now it is exporting as a text file but the FMC in the Rotate MD80 will not open it? KDAL HULZE TXO RECKN DCT KABQ
November 22, 20205 yr Commercial Member Try taking out the DCT and then import to the FMC. Each consumer of a text string seems to want something different, so you sometimes have to tweak it before using it. In this case, DCT means Direct to KABQ. Dave
