Fsx/P3D Flight1 Cessna Mustang Version 2

Recommended Posts

Does anyone have it? If so is it a worthwhile plane to get? Does it work better than Carenado's biz jets? Thanks.

I have had it since it first came out some years ago. I really enjoy flying it, a little hard on the FPS but I run it fine on a 4790K on my P3D 2.4 rig. Has a nice G1000 and systems are well modeled. The visual are not up to today's standard but nice enough. If you download the Sierra Livery from the Flight 1 website that really adds some nice interiors to the plane. Hand flies really nicely. I would recommend watching a couple of video and then decide. For a medium flight it's my go to biz jet!

Cheers

Martin

I do, it is, and it does.  As Martin noted, it's not cutting edge these days, but it's still fun to fly.  Has a NaviGraph-updateable nav database, too.

Flight1 has a pretty bulletproof 30-day no-questions-asked money-back guarantee, so there's really no risk in trying it.

One important mention--there's a good mod out there to replace the obstacle database with an empty text file, and it really buffs up the gauge performance if you're finding it slow.  It has thousands of towers and buildings and such in the database that really aren't critical to operating a jet.  I don't have the details handy, but a little casual Google-Fu will turn up a few links on how/why to do the mod.

Thanks. Doesn't Flight1 have a new version now? Or is it just a moderate improvement on the first Mustang?

Well, they've got some recently reworked gauge files for P3Dv5, but V2 has been around for a couple years now I think.
