CH Products Yoke Controller Issue

Featured Replies

After the last update I have a problem with one of the rocker switches on my CH Products Yoke and one particular aircraft. I use the rocker switch on top of the right handle of the yoke for Alerion Trim. After the latest update this week I find that this switch now is activating what would be CTRL+4 Toggle Instrument View 4 and CTRL+6 Toggle Instrument View 6 instead of the Alerion Trim. However, it only does this on one aircraft the Cessna 172S with the steam gauges. On all other aircraft it works as I had programed it for Alerion Trim. I have tried everything to fix this with no joy. I have created another profile for the yoke and that didn't change anything. I have created another profile with nothing in it and run that with FSUIPC and still I have the problem. Something has been broken in the files for this one airplane. Anyone know how to reload this planes files or fix this problem?

By the way, I tried to post this on the MSFS Forum, but it won't let me log in. It keeps taking me to the Register a profile page, but when I try to create a new profile, it tells me my user name is available, but my e mail address is taken.

Go figure.

Thanks

you could try going into content manager and uninstalling that aircraft and then reinstalling.

Thanks for the suggestion. I just did that and when I put the plane back in, I still have the problem. After I uninstalled it there, I shut down the program and then started back up. The plane was gone from the choices available at startup. You have to do a download from library, but I am not sure where that library is. In my computer, or at MSFS. If it is in my computer, I may be still downloading the same file I had deleted.

My MSFS is installed on my D drive, so I went D/MSFS/Official/Onestore/asobo-aircraft-c172sp-classic and deleted it there, but again no joy after I put it back in. Interesting note here, if you delete if from here, it still shows up in the available aircraft and still loads. You have to delete in Content Manager to actually get rid of it.

Still stumped. It is the only plane I am having a problem with and it started right after the last update. Number 7 I think.

If you load the aircraft and go into controls and check the assignment, does it show the trim setting? If not, can you assign the trim while that specific a/c is loaded.

Yes it does. It is not showing it assigned to changing the views. I have looked at the keyboard assignments and the default assignment for the Yoke. I have also created a new profile for the yoke, programed the switches and it still does it. I even created another profile for the yoke and did not put anything in it and it still does it. Somehow it has become hard binded to those keys , CTRL+6 for Toggle Instrument View 6 and CTRL+4 Toggle Instrument View 4.

It is the only plane that it is happening with. And it started after the last,&, update. I have been trying to post this on the MSFS Insiders forum, but somehow my account there is screwed up and it will not recognize me.

Thanks for your help
