Can I use FSX Water Textures in FS9?

Featured Replies

I love the water textures in FSX--especially flying across the ocean. I don't see all the blue squares. As noted in the title, can I cut & paste the water texture files from FSX into FS9? If so, can someone tell me which files to copy? Thanks!

This Q was asked before...the answer is NO.Manny

Oh, definitely. You can, in fact, copy everything from FSX over to FS9, completely negating the need for FSX entirely. Ahem... seriously? No.:D

There was somebody who had converted the water textures for use in FS9. It was done when the demo was releasesd. Can't remember who it was, but he posted screenshots. Do a search.......Glenn

Take a look over at www.fs-freeflow.com. I'm pretty sure Scott Gridley did it. Pop him a message in their forums.
