Hardware requirements FSX, AFFS2, XP11, P3Dv4, P3Dv5, MSFS

Featured Replies

Hello altogether,
in June I had posted a table comparing the hardware recommendations for FSX, Aerofly FS2, XP11, P3Dv4 and P3dv5.
Now I have added the MSFS:

By the way: I prefer to spend my money in aircraft addons and scenery addons (photoreal sceneries), not in extremely expensive hardware.
It's the addons that make the quality and immersion in your Flight Simulator.

Hello altogether,
virtual reality (VR) is now implemented in MSFS. So I've corrected the table:

I wish that chart went back to Flight Simulator 1.0. It would be cool to see the entire lineup.

i9-10850K, ASUS TUF GAMING Z490-PLUS (WI-FI), 32GB G.SKILL DDR4-3603 / PC4-28800, GIGABYTE RTX5080 16GB WF OC 3 FAN running 3440x1440

Thank you for the chart info; I agree going back to the very first sim would make the chart more interesting.

I pity the experience anyone gets using those specs with those sims as it will be very sub-optimal.

So, is it worth for me to upgrade from 3600XT to 5800X for P3Dv5 @ 1440P paired with the 6800XT GPU?

All day long.  I went from a 3700x to a 5600x and was more than worthwhile

Hello altogether,

in my opinion the table above . . .  -   okay, let me show it again:

So: in my opinion the table above answers a lot of questions relating to hardware for flightsimming and therefore is worth to be pinned up on top of this subforum.

Anybody else with this opinion?

Have a nice weekend altogether
