Just fired up the Sim 30 mins ago  as the title says and also getting a black square box in the centre of the screen and the sim isnt loading at all. I have all the latest updates and not changed anything on my pc since last time......any ideas whats is going on?

Try the following:

Sign out/in of your x-box account.

Reboot computer

If you have a VPN disconnect it and try again.

 

Thanks for a prompt reply, I loaded the xbox app on my pc and its just a green background with a circle motion just going round and round, never had this before, I'm baffled??

Problem solved, I uninstalled and reinstalled the Xbox app on my pc, signed back in and bingo, I'm a happy simmer again. Very frustrating though and why the bloodyhell did the xbox app get corrupted in the first place, unnecessary stress for sure, all was working just fine earlier this morning.

same thing happened with me I just loaded the sim from the x box app and I was back in business, but what a scare. After that no problems it loads off the MSFS icon..who knew?

Yes ...it was a scare, ive not had one single problem with the sim from day one, anyway its been ok now. At least we know now if it happens again.
