December 18, 20205 yr Is there a way to reorder the waypoints when developing a flight plan using the World Map, or are we stuck with the initial order determined by the sim? I can add or remove waypoints, but don't see how to switch the order of them. Thanks, Al Edited December 18, 20205 yr by ark
December 18, 20205 yr The only way I know is to delete and then insert. Where within your flight plans are you wanting to reorder the sequence? About the only time I find the need to do that is when I change the approach, and that change handles most of it. The other method would be to use an application like LittleNavMap. Alt-Tab to the app, spec out the flight plan, save to a .pln file, then load it in the sim. I believe you need to use actual waypoints from LNM into the sim. Unless something has changed, MSFS still does not like to see airway references.... Since you are familiar with LNM, you probably know that when building a FP, you can move waypoints 'up and down' to reorder them if so desired. So the point of my post was to see if some similar capability was available when building a FP using the World Map. But apparently not, when inserting a waypoint MSFS decides where to put it and there is no convenient way to move it. As a simple example, after entering the FP sequence KPUB PUB HGO KDEN if I then go back and try to enter BRK between PUB and HGO (say to avoid some weather), BRK instead gets entered between KPUB and PUB which makes no sense since PUB is 3NM from KPUB and BRK is 40NM from KPUB. This would not be a problem if you could then move BRK to the proper place in the FP. All I'm doing here is experimenting a bit to make sure I understand the capabilities, or lack thereof, of the MSFS World Map flight planner. Thx, Al Edited December 19, 20205 yr by ark
