Problem with Prepar3D v5.1 hf1 and Reshade

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone, I'm noticing that many streamers use reshade with presets, my problem is that when I go to install reshade on Prepar3D.exe, selecting directx 11, it starts up, but then the game goes much more slow on menus and crashes most of the time. Why? How can I solve? I await response, thanks, greetings.

v5 is DX12, maybe some problem in that area?

I do use reshade in v4.5 (DX11) and need the following P3D setting to avoid issues like those you speak about.

[USERINTERFACE]

// Set UIHardwareAcceleration from True (the default) to False to enable reshade use.
UIHardwareAcceleration=False

Also I rename the reshade files to get around a crash issue with Action!, my video recorder choice.

From dxgi.[whatever] to... d3d11.[whatever] which probably will not apply to v5 (unless it's d3d12.[whatever]).

Interested to hear how you get on.

Cheers R
