P3Dv5.1 HF1 Problem at loadup

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I haven't used my simulator in about a week until today. Today I noticed that when I am at the scenario screen and I click on start, the simulator goes to the load up screen and crashes immediately. It happens every time I try to use the simulator. Is there something someone knows that can fix this? I have went through P3D's forum and I have talked to a windows representative and I still have no fix. I did the system scan and fixed all of the corrupt files and it still didn't fix anything. I would appreciate any help I can get. Thank you.

Update: Now it crashes on the startup screen. Not sure why it keeps doing this.

You may have a corrupted scenario file. In your prepar3d.cfg I would look for a line that starts with SITUATION= and delete the file name shown after the equals sign.

This will eliminate any loading of a previous scenario.

Just a suggestion.

Happy Holidays!

Try repairing P3D Client failing that uninstall the Client do not deactivate and reinstall the client, before restarting delete your config file this will put you back to default settings. You could also use the delete generated files found in the main install location.

Hi,

I just did as you said. I have the same results. I also have done this before, in which I completely re-installed P3D, but I have had the same results as well. I have tried everything in the book. I just don't understand how these problems occur out of no where.

Does this warning from Event Viewer have anything to do with it?

DllHost (14128,D,50) Microsoft.Windows.Search_cw5n1h2txyewy_NOEDP_LEGACY_IDB: The database format feature version 9180 (0x23dc) could not be used due to the current database format 1568.20.0, controlled by the parameter 0x410022D8 (8920 | JET_efvAllowHigherPersistedFormat).

You guys are going to think this is weird! So the simulator does not crash when it is loaded right into the simulator after selecting P3D. But if the scenario screen comes up first then it crashes???
