Anyone using the T-37 "Tweet" in FSX?

I've been tempted several times to buy this plane for FS9. Now I'm curious if it works in FSX. I tried going to the forum on their website but it doesn't work. Thanks!Jim

I re-read the manual and also tried some advice from a fwellow Avsim poster, but to no avail. I placed it into FSX by porting it over like other FS9 A/C, and also tried re-installation from the initial finstall and key files. Engines will just not start - It sure looks great though! No. I had a shot at it: same result, with the engines not going past 25% and the fuel reading empty, even though it was full in the sim. I sent an email to the devs, and the reply was negative. They are working on the T6, as this is the trainer that took over from the Tweet. It's a darned pity, because this is one of my favourites, too."Due to the complexities in what he did to make a very stout secured system and the changes that took place during FSX, there are bound to be some issues. In order for the T-37 to successfully work in FSX, the mentioned secured system needs to be rewritten. We have had discussions on upgrading the Tweet and have not settled on it because it is a lot more involved compared to other products. We'll visit this again once we get our current project released. "and. . ."As per request from those in "blue"... T-6"regards,

Thanks guys. It looks like such a nifty plane, too bad it won't be working in FSX anytime soon.Jim

I have this product, and it is still worth the purchase even if you have tor run it under FS9 "forever". The attention to detail is marvelous and the documentation is a work unto itself. I highly recommend the Tweet to folks that (a) love attention to real-world details, and (:( don't mind keeping FS9 around to run it (and other similar products which may never see the light of FS-X day - e.g. I wonder if Flight1 will decide that updating the marvelous Meridian is not worth the development cost). This thread mentions the T-6 - I presume they're talking about the T-6 Texan II turbine trainer, and if it is anything like the Tweet in terms of attention to detail, I'll be lining up at the virtual door at 12:01 AM on the morning of release 8^) .Dave Blevins
