December 30, 20205 yr Does anyone know any third party apps to record what inputs are giving to the airplane? I know little Nav maps tells altitude and shows your course on a map but I would love it if it would tell me every little thing along the way so I can look at a leg and see what airspeed, altitude, navigation deflection, what switches are on or off and so on. It would make judging your chair flying so much better.
December 31, 20205 yr FS-FlightControl does that and a whole lot more. Here is a short video of the Aircraft Module page. https://youtu.be/wsmrB-kFVkA There's much more it can do including flight planning, moving map, pushback control, position control, conditions control, slewing, fuel control, failures, statistics, etc., etc. I keep the flight plan, moving map and aircraft module views all broke out into separate windows on my second monitor. December 31, 20205 yr Author @Phantoms This is awesome it looks like what I am looking for. I will probably go ahead and buy it. My only real question is weather you are able to fly around without looking at it and then at the end of the flight go back and look over the entire flight. Look for things like "Did I ever have more then 1/2 deflection or did I ever go over 111 kts or did I remember to put flaps in at the right time and speed". Stuff like that. If anyone else knows of other programs too let me know. I would love to compare other similar products if they exist.
December 31, 20205 yr Be aware that FS Flight control is only partially functional in MSFS - try the free demo (runs for two weeks) before buying, to make sure it does what you want. It's a great add on and the fact that it works with a few sims adds value, but if you're only going to use it with MSFS, then be sure it does what you need it to. January 1, 20215 yr I'd say currently about 90% of the features are working with MSFS. There is a statistics page with flight recording and playback along with exporting and importing the data, but I haven't really used that portion of the program. As Alan said, you can demo it before you purchase it. It really is a lot to it and will take some time to learn all it's features. James
January 1, 20215 yr @Phantoms Thanks for that. I had no idea such a software existed for MSFS. Bookmarked it and subbed to their twitter.
