January 11, 20215 yr Blue Herons are common marsh birds. You see them wading in the shallow waters of ponds and lakes. But did you know they can also roost in trees? Many of them sleep in trees to avoid predators. The first two photographs I took at the Bitter Lake National Wildlife Refuge. The heron in the tree I took next to one of the ponds in the park across the street from my house. Noel The tires are worn. The shocks are shot. The steering is wobbly. But the engine still runs fine.
January 11, 20215 yr Believe it or not, where I used to live in the UK, there was a large pond opposite my house. Frequently we would get a heron perching on the no fishing sign. 🙂 Think it was a grey heron. Nice photo's. 👍
