New USB headset - what to buy?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I m looking for some recommendations for a new set of USB (preferably wired) headset.

My TurtleBeach PX22 headset with microphone is beginning to shows signs of age after 6 years so am looking around at what else is out there in the market.

Criteria for me are:

  • Headphones primary use is for Windows 10 PC and Flightsim
  • Should be comfortable to wear for time periods lasting 2-3 hrs - padded headband an advantage
  • Good quality microphone for speaking to online ATC, FS2Crew etc, P2ATC
  • USB connection in order to split ATC and other environment sound channels out (prefer wired but not 100% against wireless)
  • Preferably over ear cups
  • wiling to spend up to $200

Thanks.

This is what I have.  Very comfortable for wearing long.  My favorite thing about it.  The fader dial.  Think they call it chat mix.  I do all my flights on vatsim basically.  I assign Vpilot audio to one channel, and windows to the other.  Then if atc is too loud or quiet I can turn the fader dial as needed to mix it in real time.
