Joystick Profile Form - second column - for what ?

In joystick profile form you see two column : first column is for joystick button assigned but for what is the second one ?

Simply to allow you to assign 2 buttons for the same task as far as I'm aware. Maybe when you're carrying out a certain task or manoeuvre, your first choice button is harder to reach for example.

Fulcrum One Yoke, Honeycomb Bravo throttle, Thrustmaster Airbus TCA sidestick & throttle, Logitech Pro pedals, Xbox wireless gamepad (1st gen)

With a sophisticated piece of software, it's easy to overthink things, expecting something to be more complicated than it is!🙂

In some cases I have keyboard and a joystick/TWCS setting for the same item - comes in handy for some features.
