January 17, 20215 yr I suddenly see the callsign for Aeromexico is missing from my RC installation. I've been using it for my last 10 flights, but now I can't see it listed. Any suggestions on how to recover this? dv Win 10 Pro || i7-8700K || 32GB || ASUS Z370-P MB || NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11Gb || 2 960 PRO 1TB, 840 EVO My Files in the AVSIM Library
January 17, 20215 yr Moderator @SAX702, I don’t have my RC PC turned on at the moment. Is there a wav file for that airline? The only way it can disappear is if it’s been deleted. Restore from a backup is the easiest option. Otherwise an uninstall and reinstall is necessary. Ray (Cheshire, England). January 17, 20215 yr Author Thank you @Ray Proudfoot. I edited the file c4.csv in the data folder of the RC installation, found the line for aeromexico and changed the last digit on the line from 1 to 0, seeing the other lines had it set to 0. I can now see Aero Mexico listed on RC's airline dropdown menu. I don't know if this was the fix, but it's working. Have you heard if the RC creator would be willing to make the source code public? Just wondering if given the source code, the community would be willing to expand or improve RC. January 17, 20215 yr Moderator @SAX702, glad you sorted it David. Always use a plain text editor like Notepad++ when editing CSV files, never Excel. It’s been many years since John Dekker stopped developing RC4. If he was going to release the code it would have happened by now. But as long as MakeRyws and FSUIPC is available RC4 will work. New airlines can’t be added as it requires recordings by the original people a few sadly who are no longer alive. Ray (Cheshire, England).
