Typhoon over Davos

Featured Replies

Gave in and bought the Bredok3D Typhoon as I was finding the lack of sophistication in my own portover a bit limiting. It's not bad, but it needs a fair bit or work yet, I'd say. Throttle control only seems to work one way - faster! It shoots off up to Mach 2 or thereabouts faster than you can blink, but slowing down is altogether another matter - I've spent most of my time in this with the air-brake on. Nice to have dials that work though.

Anyway, just a couple of shots. Headed out from an airbase I can't remember now and down towards the mountains. These are pretty much overhead from Davos.

One of these was the star of the local airshow for the last couple of summers (Not 2020, of course). Finished the show with a vertical climb right over the middle of the bay, crack a few windows and then away! Planning to recreate that and grab a few shots for the album!

Ryzen 9 7900X, Corsair H150 AIO cooler, 64 Gb DDR5, Asus X670E Hero m/b, 3090ti, 13Tb NVMe, 8Tb SSD, 16Tb HD, 55" Philips 4k HDR monitor, EVGA 1600w ps, all in Corsair 7000D airflow case. Sims in use - 2020, 2024, XP-12 and -11, FSX/SE, P3Dv4.5 and v5.4. DCS and AFS2 installed but rarely used

Great shots!

Actually, in 2016 and 2020 Eurofighters a.k.a. Typhoons of the Austrian Air Force guarded Swiss airspace over Davos during the World Economic Forum.

On the other hand, Austrian Airspace in the western parts of our country is pretty tight and with a runaway throttle like yours you might as well end up over Davos in no time 😄
