ERROR! The settings file does not exist! | Support

Featured Replies

I've just bought Pushback Express yesterday, after installing it I got an issue when I opened it saying ERROR! The settings file does not exist!, I reinstalled it and I have the same issue.

I looked online if anybody had the same issue, I scrolled through google a bit but I can't find anybody with this issue. The README has no info on this, one thing I did notice is that it installed to the directory Program Files86 instead of appdata where I saw most people have in some older forums, if anybody has this issue please help me if you know the solution!

Here is the link of what the error looked like:

So basically, I installed Pushback Express into my AppData Roaming folder but still get this error when trying to quit, which I think is the settings file?

The picture of what my PE folder looks like is above.

Please do this:

1. Uninstall PBE.  It should not be put in Appdata.

Best location is the default location in Program Files.

2. Your error message is because you installed PBE under a different account name on your computer in all likelihood.

Please see this thread for info on how to fix:
