January 23, 20215 yr I'm using MS 2020 and landing at a UNICOM airport and using MCE with built in ATC. After I land, the FO always says 'I bet you already know the runway in use'...I don't understand why he says this. January 25, 20215 yr Author Does anyone know why this happens? Is there something I need to do and is the reason for the FO saying this? PC: AMD 9850X3D, RAM 64GB, Geforce GTX 5090 (32GB), MSFS 2020, MSFS 2024, Pimax Super 50PPD, Quest 3

Don't be concerned with that. Fo mostly needs to know about runway in use so that when he's in charge of ATC, he could say "taking off runway two five left speedbird 143". Agree, it's not necessary to ask such question on a non-towered airport, as MCE doesn't check for airport category, but you can just ignore it or tell him the runway you intend to use.
