January 28, 20215 yr Lovely shots. I really like the Quantas livery, but I'd like it even more if the 747 was a -400 or even better a -100 (best still, the high performance one whose designation I forget). For me, the -800 is a stretch too far, it loses the perfection of the lines. Ryzen 9 7900X, Corsair H150 AIO cooler, 64 Gb DDR5, Asus X670E Hero m/b, 3090ti, 13Tb NVMe, 8Tb SSD, 16Tb HD, 55" Philips 4k HDR monitor, EVGA 1600w ps, all in Corsair 7000D airflow case. Sims in use - 2020, 2024, XP-12 and -11, FSX/SE, P3Dv4.5 and v5.4. DCS and AFS2 installed but rarely used

For me, the -800 is a stretch too far, it loses the perfection of the lines. So every one has their own view of things and that is OK. I love that plane ( and it dosen't matter it is a 747-8 or another model , i just like all 747's ) and this happens since the time i was a young Boy , there i flow at first time in a 747-400 and "WOW" - that was an amazing feeling. 🤩 At this time i never tought that a big and heavy Plane like this can go up in the air.. But it does and i never forget this feeling inside of me, so maybe that is the reason that i love this kind of planes so mutch. cheers  😉 08.2024 new PC is online :  ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-F GAMING WIFI Mainboard, AMD Ryzen™ 9 7950X3D Prozessor, G.Skill DIMM 64 GB DDR5-6000 (2x 32 GB) Dual-Kit, MSI GeForce RTX 4090 VENTUS 3X E 24G OC Grafikkarte, 2x WD Black SN850X NVMe SSD 4 TB - Drive C+D, WD Gold Enterprise Class 12 TB for storage  HDD, Thermaltake Toughpower GF3 1000W PC - Power supply, Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 EVO CPU Aircooler with 7 Heatpipes, Design Meshify 2 White TG Clear Tint Tower-Case, 3x 4K monitors 2x32 Samsung 1x27 LG 3840x2160, Windows11 Prof. 23H2 - now Windows11 Prof. 25H2 Flightsimulator Hardware: Honeycomb Throttle Bravo, Logitech Extreme 3D Pro, Logitech Flight Joke System, XBox Controller, some Thrustmaster stuff, Winwing CDU Panels.

Yep, even now, and even though I understand the physics behind it, I still have problems with several hundred tons of metal hurling itself into the air and staying there. Same with big ships, it's not natural for an aircraft carrier to float! January 29, 20215 yr Superb pictures!! I have done this flight (on Singapore Airlines) in the real life quite a few times, almost always in a 747-400 and only once in an A 340. Both planes were very comfortable, but I still preferred the 747. So your shots bring back very happy memories. Thanks for this! Edited January 29, 20215 yr by bernd1151 Any attempt to stretch fuel is guaranteed to increase headwinds My specs: AMD Radeon RX6700XT, AMD Ryzen 9 5900X, 32GB RAM, 34" monitor, screen resolution: 2560x1080
