JustFlight BAE 146 Professional Flows Needed

Featured Replies

Gidday,

I've just installed the JustFlight BAE 146 Professional and see that it is supported by MCE. There doesn't appear to be any default flows supplied. Would very much appreciate any help.

The best suppoted BAe 146 is the one from QualityWings

<media>

Having said that, you could use the flows found in \My Documents\Multi Crew Experience\Myvoicescripts\Copilot\Aircraft\QualityWings BAe146-100\

I tried using the QualityWings BAe 146 flow but the vast majority of commands aren't recognized by the JustFlight variant. I saw on your list of supported planes the JustFlight 146 so assumed you would have flows for it.

Harry

It was interfaced in FSX many years ago. Never tested under P3D. Maybe specific 64 Bit dll missing

Will get back to you on that.

Could you please look-up "sim=whatever_name_is_there" in "Aircraft.cfg"

It could be that the new JustFlight BAe146 for P3D V4 is using a different name and MCE unable to recognize it, hence treating it as default plane and not even enabling custom speech commands for complex systems on that plane.

With FSX it expects

[fltsim.X]

"sim=BAe-146TF"

Also: "ui_createdby=Just Flight"

There could be variations of the plane with different sim names.

Thanks

Gerlad there are many.....

sim=JF_146_RAF_VIP

sim=JF_146-100

sim=JF_146-200

sim=JF_146-200QC

sim=JF_146-200QT

sim=JF_146-300

sim=JF_146-300QT

all have

ui_createdby=Just Flight

hope this helps

Get Latest patch

There should already be a 64 Bit  "mcjf146.dll" file in \Prepar3D v4\MCE dlls\ folder

Once you replace "mce.exe", it should be able to see the aircraft as the BAe 146 from Just Flight.

Thanks for the patch. I copied and overwrote all files from the "multi crew experience" and "Prepar3D V4 or V5 Installation folder" in the patch archive to the multi crew experience and P3DV4 dll folders. Started MCE and it created the empty flow folder. Then copied flows from QW 146. No luck unfortunately. Things like battery on, yaw damper on, landing lights on, etc. do nothing. If I've done something wrong let me know.

Just to confirm this is the Just Flight BAE-146 Professional for both P3DV4 & 5.

Assuming you replaced "mce.exe", try this speech command "lift spoilers yellow system on".

This speech command is only enabled when the BAe146 is detected.

Assuming it does, download this file , unzip and eplace "mcjf146.dll" in \Prepar3D v4\MCE dlls\ or/and \Prepar3D v5\MCE dlls folders

Forgot to ask you to check the following.

As you already know, in Prepar3D, airplanes are installed all over the plane and not always to \SimObjects\ folder. Maybe that's why MCE cannot see it.

Go to C;\Users\your_user_name\AppData\Roaming\Multi Crew Experience\ folde and open "CfgPaths.dat" in Notepad.

If you can't see any path to JustFlight 146 that would explain it.

In that case, MCE expects the "Add-ons.cfg" file to tell it where to find the planes.

Congig file can be found under C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\ folder. Maybe the JF 146 isn't adding info to the file.

Gerald sorry to jump in here..... 🙂

but I just tried MCE with the new EXE and DLL from above and have to say, there are many commands not working.
MCE sees the plane as "BRITHISHAEROSPACE BA46" and the commands copy from the Qualitywings Bae are there.
Plane is directly in the P3D folder installed.

I think the "Professional" Version from Justflight is a complete other Ship as the older one!

Do you need any thing else to help?

All the planes are in CfgPaths.dat as follows:

D:\P3DV4\SimObjects\Airplanes\JF_146-100\aircraft.cfg
D:\P3DV4\SimObjects\Airplanes\JF_146-200\aircraft.cfg
D:\P3DV4\SimObjects\Airplanes\JF_146-200QC\aircraft.cfg
D:\P3DV4\SimObjects\Airplanes\JF_146-200QT\aircraft.cfg
D:\P3DV4\SimObjects\Airplanes\JF_146-300\aircraft.cfg
D:\P3DV4\SimObjects\Airplanes\JF_146-300QT\aircraft.cfg

They are not shown in the add-ons.cfg. The only planes there are the Aerosoft planes.

Looks like Bruno is right. Just Flight being a publisher, they may have sourced it from different devs. The FSX version sugests CLS was behind it (folders in \SimObjects\Airplanes\ folder are named <CLS_BAe146_200> AND <CLS_BAe146_300>.

In P3D, seems to be a different aircarft.

Will do our best to integrate it sometime this year, but not a priority I'm afrain as there are very few people out there keen to fly the 146 with a crew. Maybe a post on JustFlight forum, may provide a better picture as to how many would be interested.

There are just too many things going on at the moment (other projects) to consider this as a priority job.

Sorry about that. It took a decade to integrate 46 plane in FSX & Prepar3D and not even counting ASOBO MSFS planes, and all shipping in a single profuct when we could have made them separate.

Fair enough. I posted on their forum asking for a show of hands regarding MCE support. Not the end of the world if this plane isn't supported. Thanks for taking the time to look into it for me.
