FPS and stutter problems try this

Featured Replies

First let me say that my current set up has most settings on high or ultra my GPU runs on average around 65-70%. I also have 2 monitors both 1080 connected. Today I moved the atc and  vfr map to a different monitor then the one depicting msfs and instantly my fps numbers in and out of the cockpit doubled. My gpu utillization dropped by 20 % and dropped 5 degrees C. I also noticed that the sim ran a lot smoother without me making any changes. I have no idea why this is but it works.

Has anyone else seen this?

System Intel core I9-10900.Asus prime Z490P motherboard, Corsair 32gb ddr4 dram, Samsung 970 EVO 1TB SSD and 1 TB Seagate Barracuda HD. Zotac GE force RTX 2080 Super  750 Watt power supply, Windows 10 Pro, Honeycomb yoke and Bravo,Thrustmaster pedals

you misread FPS. Use the meter from the developer mode and you will see the opposite drop in FPS

I see what you mean strange seems my nvidia fps readout led me astray however using windows task manager it did show that my gpu wasnt working as hard  and also and there was a definite drop in temp.

Why would you want this? You want your GPU to work to 100% at all Times to get maximum use out of it! I don’t understand all these posts with people trying to get *less* out of their GPU’s!?

temps ?

noise ?

headroom for stability and to reduce stutter ?

you are running 1080p on a 3090 and no matter what it is CPU limited ?

street cred - my nitrogen cooled xxxx card runs MSFS at 8K ultra at 100 FPS and is still only 80% utilised ?
