February 1, 20215 yr Looking for recommendations for a controller brand/model for the drone view in MSFS 2020. I understand it's pretty common to use an XBox type controller for it and would like to pick something up, but having never tried to use an Xbox type controller on a PC before I have no idea what to get. AMD Ryzen 9950X3D | Asrock X870E Taichi | Gigabyte Gaming OC 4090 w/EK waterblock | Full Custom Loop Cooling | Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5-6000 | Samsung & WD NVME/SSDs | Phanteks Enthoo 719 | Seasonic Vertex Gold 1200W | Keychron Q5 Max | Corsiar Scimitar Elite SE Wireless | Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo | Logitech Pro Flight Pedals | VKB Gladiator Pro NXT L&R handed | MiniCockpit MiniFCU | Alienware AW34DWF | Asus PG279Q | Win 11 Pro
February 2, 20215 yr Probably whatever PC-compatible controller you like. I'm now using an old (original) X-Box wireless controller I bought years ago (and had misplaced) but previously used a Sony DS4 (the PS4 controller) - via USB cable as wireless was iffy - perfectly happily for both flying and drone use until I got my Thrustmaster Airbus control pack. I'd recommend the X-Box controller, if only because it's the officially supported controller, being a Microsoft product. The Xbox 360 Wireless controller works perfectly, no need for a cable with it. I probably wasn't clear, but it was the Sony controller which didn't work so well without a cable. The controller I use now is an Xbox 360 Wireless. So you could even just get hold of a used one if you wanted to. Hmm I actually still have my lightly used 360 and the single wireless controller but I don’t have any wireless capability on my pc so I’d need a wired controller AMD Ryzen 9950X3D | Asrock X870E Taichi | Gigabyte Gaming OC 4090 w/EK waterblock | Full Custom Loop Cooling | Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5-6000 | Samsung & WD NVME/SSDs | Phanteks Enthoo 719 | Seasonic Vertex Gold 1200W | Keychron Q5 Max | Corsiar Scimitar Elite SE Wireless | Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo | Logitech Pro Flight Pedals | VKB Gladiator Pro NXT L&R handed | MiniCockpit MiniFCU | Alienware AW34DWF | Asus PG279Q | Win 11 Pro
