February 5, 20215 yr Hi everybody, I just came across a new problem on my FS2004. Flying from Amsterdam to Nice I noticed a coastline error at Lake Geneva. It seems like there is a straight cut right through the middle of the lake. I found out that there is awareness of that error and that it got fixed: https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/451039-open-betacommunity-project-osm-world/page/7/ However, the dropbox content got deleted and I can't find the updated file anywhere online. Can you guys help me out? Thanks in advance and happy flying 🙂 Pat
March 18, 20215 yr Pat, did you install the update available here at the Library? March 18, 20215 yr Author I did, however the update regarding Lake Geneva was not included... unfortunately.
April 24, 20215 yr Perhaps consider Flight1's Ultimate Terrain Europe for FS2004 (https://www.flight1.com/products.asp?product=uteurope), a worthwhile investment and especially so on modern hardware...just a thought!
May 3, 20215 yr After reading this post I took a look at my own Lake Geneva and saw a straight but diffuse transition line running down the length of the lake, with a greenish, so called "inland lake" color on one side of it and on the other side a more blue-ish sea-like color. So, not a coastal problem but some kind of texture problem, possibly even related to the initial poster's problem. I busted my brains on this one, I even copied the World texture contents from a very old (two years ago) backup but to no avail. I'm not using UT Europe nor OSM World but do have extensive mesh and LC scenery for the area ------ but ------ temporarily disabling these had no effect. Anybody ? Regards Hans
