SDK and Traffic Toolbox - Where is it?

Featured Replies

Hello I am looking for the SDK and I can't find it. I tried to install the SDK SP1 and the installer couldn't find it either. I do have the deluxe version and I thought I did a full install. BTW, my FSX installation is not default, it is on a dedicated drive.Any ideas on what I need to do?Thanks!

Yeah, pop in your FSX DVD 1 and take a look at it, there should be a SDK directory on the DVD with the installer in it.It's not installed by default with the sim, as I am assuming that most people don't want the extra couple hundred megs taken up if they aren't going to use it.

Thanks.

Brian,I found the FSX folder way down in my "Documents and Settings" folder. My code in the dll.xml is:<?xml version="1.0" encoding="Windows-1252" ?> - Launchdll.xmlFalseFalse - Object Placement ToolTrueFalse..Microsoft Flight Simulator X SDKSDKMission Creation Kitobject_placement.dll- Traffic ToolboxTrueFalseC:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesMicrosoft Flight Simulator X SDKSDKEnvironment KitTraffic Toolbox SDKtraffictoolbox.dll- Visual Effects ToolTrueFalse..Microsoft Flight Simulator X SDKSDKEnvironment KitSpecial Effects SDKvisualfxtool.dllI do not see the "tools" in my FSX Menu, nor do I see a "modules" menu item.I have something in the wrong place, I'm sure(?)!

You need to change one or more of theTruelines within the Launch.Addon sections to Falseand then the related tool should load and showup on the menu.Tim

Thanks Tim ... thanks so much for finding this for me.
