Possible GTN750 Configuration Panel Update Bug? (resolving)

Featured Replies

Yesterday I downloaded (I thought) and installed the latest GTN750 --ver 2.5.28.1, so I was surprised today when the GTN750 configuration panel showed I needed to update to 2.5.28.1. So I followed the panel update procedure and downloaded the new installer. I then uninstalled the previous GTN750 installation and ran the new installer during which I got the message "You're up to date!". But after a Win10 and P3D restart subsequent update checks with the configuration panel stills shows I need to update to 2.5.28.1.

The rxp log file "still" shows:  21/02/11 16:00:30.494 08412 -    ] # rxpGtnSim64.dll version 2.5.28.0

I have now gone through this process a few times but still get the same configuration panel "need to update" result. This happens in both P3Dv4.5 and P3Dv5.1.

Hi,

I believe you've found a bug in our latest update... I've forgotten the add-on code is checking the version based on the DLL version numbers, therefore, it will always ask you to update because in order to help people with the other bug in the installer referring to the older trainer, we needed to raise the version number at the installer level only...

Thank you for this, I'll see whether there is a quick workaround otherwise we'll have to repackage the binaries.

Stay tuned!
