February 14, 20215 yr Shooting some ILS approaches in Brazil yesterday - at about 500' AGL I cued the AP off switch on my TWCS (which I've had assigned for months). No response. I keep hitting the button, but the AP refuses to disconnect and I fight it all the way to touch-down. Next flight - same thing. I finally recalled the default keyboard assignment and hit it, though I was about 10' AGL at the time and it made for a rough touch-down. Before flying today I checked the control assignments in the Options menu - sure enough, the Autopilot Off assignment to the TWCS was now blank, Anyone else have controller assignments erased? I'm a little concerned now as to what else may have been altered... Randall Rocke

February 14, 20215 yr Author Yes, I have multiple profiles - yes, I had the right one. In fact, the aircraft in this case (TBM 930) was the 1st profile to be created with the TWCS (other profiles were then copied from it for editing and nothing was changed in this profile. I will check the other profiles to see if this assignment was lost elsewhere. Randall Rocke
February 14, 20215 yr My TWCS Throttle quits working also sometimes. Probably happened 5-10 times since August last year. I think its something to do with Windows disabling the USB Port automatically. Only thing I have found it to reboot. Always happens to me at startup so far Regards Denwagg Steam MSFS 2020. February 14, 20215 yr Author Heck - I'm trying to afford 100 Mbps right now, as our condo was tied to one provider back in the 80's. Regular neighborhoods all around us have access to 100+ (with competitor's pricing) but our condo association refuses to spend the $2,000 for a competitor's fiber, even though we would get all of that back within a couple year's with the annual savings (not to mention the vastly improved performance). As a person who needs high bandwidth from my home office for my multimedia business, this is extremely frustrating. Edited February 14, 20215 yr by RandallR Randall Rocke
February 14, 20215 yr I Know I'm so lucky My only option for the last 20 years where I live was dialup and then Satellite Internet. I had wild blue up until last winter when we got fiber. We celebrated and danced around the house the day I removed that Worthless Satellite dish off my roof. It was the most overpriced, slow alternative to dialup. Just barely faster than dialup in the evening, They lied to me forthwith over an over about the speed after I grilled them about it at length. Dont EVER buy any Satellite internet PERIOD. Silcone grease does not react with Plastic like petroleum based products do. Denwagg Steam MSFS 2020. Process Lasso, Acronis True Image Backup. February 15, 20215 yr Author Some have been recommending Nyogel for this. However, I've decided to go with the Impulse Slider throttle upgrade - looks like it will resolve the issue without the use of lubricants. Randall Rocke
March 2, 20215 yr Using 3 monitors, and definitely see situations where Windows loses focus of monitor #1 (which is hosting MSFS). I find that before clicking a button on my HOTAS, I need to click a 'dead space' somewhere inside monitor #1 to resume focus - this seems to do the trick. It is not as easy as just staying inside monitor #1; I have seen many situations where I am working completely inside monitor #1 but for some reason the control buttons stop working. I have not been able to figure out exactly what the culprit is... -Pete
