McAfee continually deletes rxpGtnSim32.dll after exclusion

Featured Replies

Hello,

I have used RXP for months now with no problems, however with the latest update 2.5.28.2 I am beginning to get false positives from McAfee regarding the file C:\Program Files (x86)\Reality XP\rxpGtnSim32.dll

If I disable the Real-Time Scanning the plugin will work as normal. But if I do not, McAfee will find the file and delete it even with it excluded. I know the file is safe, I just want to be able to use it without disabling my AV.

Ask any computer savvy guy and he'll tell you stay away from McAfee and Norton. As a general rule Defender works fine as does Malwarebytes. At the very least, if you tell them something is OK they take notice.
