rxpGTN-XPL version 2.5.28.2 & X-Plane version 11.52r1

Featured Replies

Hi, I'm running X-Plane version 11.52r1 & recently updated rxpGTN-XPL to version 2.5.28.2 & the plugin will not operate. The image appears in the aircraft but the screen remains dark & will not finish loading. I tried uninstalling & reinstalling the plugin but the issue remains.

I am not a technical person, what am I doing wrong? Thank you for your help.

Hi,

Can you please post the content of the RXP log files? (see user's manual for file/path)

I don't understand any of the coding and since I have a similar XP build, I was having the same problem which I tried to fix for about 3 days. Then one day I started XP with a Laminar C172, surprise, GTN 750 came alive although it was a 2D model, I could live with this. So then I changed aircraft to the Carenado F33A which is what I wanted to use in the first place. Surprise again. There it was working just like I had hoped. Go figure. What I'm pretty certain is Windows Defender had been blocking some questionable files within the DLL files.  After the very latest update of GTN750 I think they might have addressed that problem since I don't see the blockage anymore.  Hope this works for you.

regards, Lee

Frankly, do the red lines really match what I'm asking you for?

Hello Rayds

Jean-Luc meant the RXP log files.

No worries, sometimes we get it ingrained due to the org site wanting the X-Plane 11 log file.
Could you copy and paste the contents of the GTN logfiles for this forum section.

Thank you. If you read what the log file is saying, it should be clear what the problem and the resolution is.

You can't miss the 8 pages long discussion with "virus" in its title:

I've turned off all virus/firewall defenses & tried reinstalling.  Now the reinstall is blocked with an error message "validate account login or password is incorrect...."

I've burned up ~2 hours & lost days of sim training to this issue.  Why in the world would software be created that causes so much trouble?

What am I to do?

Do you mean this is when validating your F1 account credentials? In this case you might want to cross-check there isn't any typo or anything?

Please note you don't have to disable your anti-virus and firewall, just add exclusions like in the screenshot I've posted:

I agree, why would anti-virus software be created to cause so much trouble is a good question, but I believe the answer is because unfortunately there are people trying to exploit computer systems to cause even more trouble.

You might want to read what I've just posted about some of this here:

Maybe a good point, but I've only run into the issue this plugin.  For some reason, my problem is solved & the GTN 650 plugin is now functioning.
