February 20, 20215 yr Does anyone know how to delete a custom camera? Thanks. Jeff D. Nielsen (KMCI) https://www.twitch.tv/pilotskcx https://discord.io/MaxDutyDay VENGEANCE a8200 Gaming PC: AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D, GeForce RTX 5080, 64GB DDR5, 4TB (2TB/2TB) M.2 SSD, Win11 Pro
February 20, 20215 yr Hi, you have delete or edit the corresponding camera.cfg file under C:\Users\[your profile]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator\SimObjects\Airplanes\Asobo_C172sp_AS1000 or similar for other planes. This is for a Steam installation, MS Store might be in a different place. February 20, 20215 yr Author I don't think that's it though. Custom cameras are saved in the user's account, I think. I think what you're talking about are just the preset views. Jeff D. February 20, 20215 yr That's a camera setting which I made where the pilot sits in front of the propeller. It's a trick for home cockpit builders to get a panel-free interior view, until Asobo gets the corresponding option sorted. I think that's called a custom setting. I saved it using (I think) Ctrl+Alt+0 according to https://flightsimulator.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360016003159-Camera-Overview and it's called using Alt+0. As far as I understand, it may be saved in the cloud, but it's locally available in this place. February 20, 20215 yr Author Yes, that's what I did for 4 views. I'll check that thread. Jeff D. Nielsen (KMCI) https://www.twitch.tv/pilotskcx https://discord.io/MaxDutyDay VENGEANCE a8200 Gaming PC: AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D, GeForce RTX 5080, 64GB DDR5, 4TB (2TB/2TB) M.2 SSD, Win11 Pro
February 20, 20215 yr Author Yeah, it doesn't say where they're saved. The problem is, I created a 5th one for a wing view forgetting it will be a part of cycling through. I ended making the 5th view the same one as the first view for now until we can figure out where to delete them. 🤪 Jeff D.
