March 4, 20215 yr Hello all I have a weird problem I have a 2080 nvidia super my and I7 8700k i updated my drivers to the latest version yesterday on both of my computers and I'm getting real bad frame rates my second computer has a 2060 and runs wideview scenery only, before the update I had my second computer locked at 58 fps it was great my main computer was weird as I was undocking panels my fps was increasing but no problems,I had an experience with xplane 11 running opengl with an amd card was getting 25 to 30 fps exactly same thing here,is like the graphics and prepard or direct x is not communicating.properly, for a note I never done a clean install I always done an Express install and I had no problems yesterday I did a clean install on both of my systems and the result bad fps it does not matter what I do lower settings on game it has no effect.i do run multiple screens but I get the same fps with only 1 screen so it's not refresh rate issue, exactly I don't know what a. Lean install does but there was a file that got updated and p3d didn't like it being an old program I also rolled back to the driver version I was on and no effect I'm investigating if its something in direct x I deleted the nvidia direct x driver and left it as basic.sys when I get home I'm going to uninstall the drivers let windows install and do an Express installation.if anything else fails I do have a clone drive with p3d working good so I can always go back to see what drivers were install but that is last resort I was just looking for help if anyone have any ideas. But i think I cover most of the bases. Thanks and I know is a long post bit is a lot of stuff to cover. March 4, 20215 yr Commercial Member How about to use System Restore to go back in time? I use it, in some desperate moments and always works great.
March 4, 20215 yr For the OP--commas, periods, and carriage returns are on sale cheap at the AVSIM store. Please go buy some. Attempting to read this run-on paragraph was utterly painful. Did you delete your shaders after the update? Removing components of DirectX or a driver is never a good idea. A safe-mode run of DDU followed by a clean install might be in order. March 4, 20215 yr Author Clean install is what I did that is why I'm in this situation,I deleted shaders, prepard.cfg run only 1 monitor and still no change.I never done a clean install before so I'm trying to figure out what is different between a clean vs Express. Install, and just to let you know is in both of my computers they both have nvidia cards is not the main driver has to be something with direct x ,and sorry about punctuation I'm on my phone.
