  1. Hello all i have an annoying problem on my external visual machine everything is working fine but the waiting for external visuals machine won't go off the screen anyone know how to fix this?please and thank you, Aaron Mack.
  2. Ok I spent 3 days reinstalling prepardv4 and I couldn't figure out why my gpu stayed at base clock and that is because prepard runs on the FSX engine and is not optimised really for a 64 bit this video helped me a lot I advice to do the settings exactly like it shown and do some adjustments,in if you have a high end GPU like max clock is atc1800 plus the first 2 settings in the graphics set it to high and ultra that will increase you load on the GPU more also another thing that helped was setting the shadows cast and receive if i untucked them my gpu goes back to base clock, expect high gou clocks speeds and low fps in heavy areas with heavy addon aircraft like the milviz king air,in fly tampa klas with the milviz king air I get 25-30 fps with a clock of 1980 but is smooth ,prepard is on an engine that was designed in 2006 but we make it work because we love it. I forgot to mention you need a program to set affinity in prepard affinity mask setting does not do a good enough job I use process lasso you can try it free for 30 days it takes a little bit to set the affinity just right.this should eliminate bad performance.
  3. Hello all i got a quick question i have an nvidia 2080 super i'm getting bad performance with prepardv4 like 20 fps at airports ,my gpu will stay at base clock 1650 if i go to 4k you think illl make it work harder? my second system runs scenery via wideview that has a 2060 i get good fps it runs at over 1800 i think is something to do with the OC in the super,I love prepard3d so i'm trying to find a solution.. in the other hand MSFS runs like a dream on my system,my system is I7 8700K 32 GIGS OF Memory ssd and 2080 super,,Since my 2060 out peforms my 2080 super in prepard v4 its something to dso with the clock speed or the resolution that is not making it to use the boost clock,,also my cpu is not bottlenecking im running process lasso all my cores are running evenly, Thanks.
  4. Guys I found this video which makes lot of sense and I dont' know anything about dx12 since this is my first program that uses direct x 12 and I'm learning prepardv5. As a note I don't know who this you tuber is but maybe will help someone I have yet to try it but it should work. 5. Well, that wasn't helpful.bro I been using computers since the DoS area I'm looking for people that have or had this issue to see if I can fix it. Going to explain something. 1. If you computer crashes because of gpu drivers that is between windows and the GPU that is a faulty card not the issue here. 2. If you get a DXGI error it shows on prepardv5 it does not crash to desktop that means the driver I'm using is incompatible with that specific program,I don't need persons like you telling me what to do. I'm looking for people that have or had this issue so I can fix it if I can't I'm asking for a refund.I have 14 days. THANK YOU.
  6. Have any of you experience this issue? Running Nvidia 2080 super with latest drivers Feb 25,2021 ,I know is a driver incompatibility with prepard should I roll back drivers?
  7. Lida here is a link of an affinity mask to put on cfg if you haven't done so don t worry about the 32 bit version what the web page says https://www.gfsg.co.uk/affinitymask.aspx?SubMenuItem=utilties like I was trying to tell you I run process lasso I use cores 2,3,4 and 8 I have no issues. Btw I'm having fps issues I did a clean install on gpu drivers on both of my computers that run prepard I don't recommend gpu clean install on prepar unless you have problems.
  8. Hello Lida maybe I can help you out I have a similar system i78700k 2080 super. Are you familiar on setting up p3d? By default p3d will run on core 0 are you cpu bottleneck? What is you cpu usage and clock speed? Are you familiar with msi after burner or hw monitor or any monitor software? We need to know this things. Right now in having issues with fps but that is due to a driver I installed but before that my gpu clocks out at 1980 giving me over 100 fps on fairly high settings,to get around the cpu bottle neck I been using process lasso just for p3d it runs great ot could be a few things but if you fps changes when in different areas it might be the cpu bottlenecking if you haven't already look into how to set affinity mask with a 6 core cpu assigning 4 cores to p3d is plenty, they are calculators out there to help you set it in ped config something like this [Job Scheduler] Affinity mask=14. That is an example but there is calculators online to help you set that up,prepard is a beautiful sim but very old tech on this newer rigs we get better performance on msfs 2020 but msfs is not there yet .

  10. Clean install is what I did that is why I'm in this situation,I deleted shaders, prepard.cfg run only 1 monitor and still no change.I never done a clean install before so I'm trying to figure out what is different between a clean vs Express. Install, and just to let you know is in both of my computers they both have nvidia cards is not the main driver has to be something with direct x ,and sorry about punctuation I'm on my phone.
  11. Hello all I have a weird problem I have a 2080 nvidia super my and I7 8700k i updated my drivers to the latest version yesterday on both of my computers and I'm getting real bad frame rates my second computer has a 2060 and runs wideview scenery only, before the update I had my second computer locked at 58 fps it was great my main computer was weird as I was undocking panels my fps was increasing but no problems,I had an experience with xplane 11 running opengl with an amd card was getting 25 to 30 fps exactly same thing here,is like the graphics and prepard or direct x is not communicating.properly, for a note I never done a clean install I always done an Express install and I had no problems yesterday I did a clean install on both of my systems and the result bad fps it does not matter what I do lower settings on game it has no effect.i do run multiple screens but I get the same fps with only 1 screen so it's not refresh rate issue, exactly I don't know what a. Lean install does but there was a file that got updated and p3d didn't like it being an old program I also rolled back to the driver version I was on and no effect I'm investigating if its something in direct x I deleted the nvidia direct x driver and left it as basic.sys when I get home I'm going to uninstall the drivers let windows install and do an Express installation.if anything else fails I do have a clone drive with p3d working good so I can always go back to see what drivers were install but that is last resort I was just looking for help if anyone have any ideas. But i think I cover most of the bases. Thanks and I know is a long post bit is a lot of stuff to cover.
  12. The flight 1 king air is one plane that don't work well setting axis in fsuicp setup in p3d or use any other software besides fsuicp for this plane I use spadnext.
  13. it wasn't screen tearing is a refresh rate issue with pd3 when using 1 monitor on desktop mode pd3 does not separate them and puts them as one i made it a lot better with scan sync in the riva statistics server. and to confirm this when i don't undock any panels my fps sits at 25 once i undock it jumps up to over 100 weird huh? with msfs 2020 don't have this issues.
  14. Hello all i'm running prepardv4 on 2 computers using wideview at the beggiing i had 2 copies of active sky and asca on each machine to get weather but i noticed they did not quite give me the same visuals then i found out if i set weather config in wideview both to update client then client bounce to server the weather is perfect on all my screens you still need 2 copies of AS and Asca if you running it and keep in mind you need the exact same scenery on both computers. I hope this helps any comments are appreciated.
  15. I'm having the same problem like David screen tearing is there but not bad in window mode runs fine also in msfs runs fine as well I got rid of stutters by upgrading to an ssd if I can fix the tearing the sim will be awesome I run pd3v4 I came across this on pd3 forum I'll try it and see what happens. http://prepar3d.us/forum/viewtopic.php?t=128347
