December 20, 200619 yr With the million freeking mesh files in the library it has to be "As Real as it Gets" in FSX...http://publish.hometown.aol.com/p3superb/i...s/sign_name.jpg
December 20, 200619 yr It is a pretty big country, believe it or not, Jeff. It is hard to understand unless one starts comparing to what one knows. Also, David is using the old FS 9 technique of separate files for all the LOD levels. But then, if he had tried to compile them all together as the FS X methods stipulate, he would probably have gotten files larger than the Avsim library maximum - 100 MB.It is just something to take in stride, like a Pearson attack that we get (thankfully) so often. I always think that it is people like that, who are dedicated to this hobby, and who are willing to give their time to create add-ons and share them with us, who are the most worthwhile members of our community.Best regards.Luis Hot, humid Caribbean paradise!
December 20, 200619 yr I've been very curious about that mesh also, as I like to fly that part of the world. Did it mess up very many airports? I tried a Chile mesh in FS2004, but ending up going back to the default.
December 20, 200619 yr Doesn't anyone think that this ONE item should have it's OWN area in the library? Geez, it really clutters up the Scenery section, especially if "searching" for something like new items, having to go thru so much of this stuff. Surely this one item (Chile) has been the most of any single download I have ever seen on Avsim!

If this is the only way to upload files then good on him. BTW I don't fly in Chile but I can appreciate the work he has put into this for all our benefit. I only wish he would try Northern Ireland; I would be downloading them like crazy!! :D
December 20, 200619 yr Chile is looking stunning:) completely transformed the FSX default mesh many thanks David.John
December 20, 200619 yr Thanks, John...that's what I was waiting to hear! I'm particularly interested in Pto. Montt....have you looked at it?
December 21, 200619 yr Chile is a long country approximate 5000 kilometers with a lot of mountains and thanks to David is looking better than ever.CBrand
December 21, 200619 yr Yeah, but......as the OP asked, how's it look? Literally?Would be cool to see a screenshot if anyone has time.....and isn't it true that one of the sincerest ways to say "Thanks!" is with a screenshot? What freeware dev doesn't love to literally "see" people enjoying his effort?...so how 'bout a screenie, por favor?
December 22, 200619 yr Stoopy:Manana:) for the screenies m8, I'll get around to it. The difference between stock and Dave's stuff is bloody amazing. Try it out.
