Databases Expired

Featured Replies

My Navigation, Obstacle/HOT Line, Safe Taxi and FileCharts databases show as expired. My X-Plane 11 GTN 750 will show the route but it will not navigate, ie, it won't follow the flight plan.

Garmin Aviation Trainer is V3.0.1.0. All databases claim there are no updates.

How do I fix this?

Is the GTN the most up to date version? An expired database should not affect the autopilot.

Hi,

"it" is vague here.

Do you mean the GTN won't for example auto-update the next leg when you're flying, or the autopilot is not receiving any guidance from the GTN?

Otherwise regardless of the DB expiration indicated, it shouldn't disable any feature at all.

GTN is up to date.

The flight plan is displayed on the GTN screen, autopilot and GTN set to NAV mode. The GTN will not follow the flight plan displayed on the screen.

This was working at one time but with the expired databases, it no longer works.

SW Version: 6.62.4 TRNG

RealityXP: 2.5.28.2

I'm sorry to insist but you're writing the same again, and to me, this has 2 possible different meanings/interpretations.

Can you please just answer this question so that it helps understanding?

Bad mistake on my part, I had the autopilot in the plane configured incorrectly. VERY sorry.

However, the databases for the GTN are expired as earlier noted in my first post. How do I update these?

What do you mean with setting the GTN in NAVmode, it is either in VLOC or GPS mode fro navigation. If you set it to VLOC it will not follow the flightplan in the GTN but will navigate in relation to radiobeacons.
