December 25, 200619 yr As noted in previous replies -Yes. But...If the 'disk utility experts' are correct, you will get fastest response from the outer portions of the disk, where C: was created first. As a consequence, I migrated my FSX from E (inner portion) to C and noticed at least smoother performance and slightly better load times. You can put it anywhere for now and migrate later (with care) after you do the research and decide. Or simply reinstall.I didn't have the space on C originally, so I spent a day moving stuff and then gave C most of the empty D partition. I'm more comfortable that it's now as good as it can get with the current system.Loyd Hooked since FS4... now flying: FSX Acceleration on Win7/64, Core Duo E8400; GA-EP45-DS3R; GTX 460-768MB; 4G RAM; Freezer 7 Pro
December 26, 200619 yr Yes. In fact, I use "custom" installation and put FSX in the "root" of the drive, e.g. C:FSX, not program files..blah blah...blah blah....etc. Just use custom installations with your add ons, too and point the setup scripts there--and for the freeware things you unzip similar thing just extract to C:FSX. Just me but i think it's easier :0)I dont have FS9 on my new machine but I imagine you could have them both running at once, just put it in C:FS9. I would think you should istall FS9 first though if you're going to use both
