MSFS Instructor crashes plane.

Featured Replies

I recently installed MSFS2020. When I am in the second flying  lesson, while the instructor has control of the plane and is showing me the instrument panel up close, she flies the plane straight into the ground.  Nothing I do seems to have any effect, as she has taken exclusive control of the plane. The first lesson went smoothly, but the second lesson, the instructor always does this right off the bat. All of my hardware, the yoke and rudder pedals and instrument panels, all work ok when I am just fllyng around. Is this a new bug? Reboots don't help, and this happens with both the Steam version and the regular version.

There are some known issues still to resolve!

KNOWN ISSUES

Throttle mapping reversed for the Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog

Beechcraft King Air 350i does not change pitch with VS wheel when Autopilot is enabled

in rare occasions, Aircraft screens might not initialize correctly upon loading a flight. Please restart the flight to fix the issue.

The plane continually loses altitude causing it to crash after loading into the Attitudes & Instruments Training Flight

Just going to run a Chromebook and not upgrade to a Windows computer. Too many problems with the new Sims! 😱
Trying to keep peace and harmony and the will of Landru on the site seems to be a full time job!

OMG!!!!!!!  BLEEEEEPPPP!!!  Yes, Just tried it....

Yep she flew right into the ground!!!  And there was not a dang thing you could do to stop it..

Just "flapping" away (at the mouth) and boom...right into somebody's house...Wow!

That's not a good way to get someone started flying.

C'Mon Man!!!!!!   You just gotta laugh to keep from crying..

The Second Training mission starts out 6000 feet and just slowly descends to a lovely home in the suburbs! It only takes a minute - usually about the time you are reading the tachometer. I just went on to training level 3.

The mission did not crash when I learned this program a few months ago - go figure!  Does Microsoft even know there is a problem?

Yes, they know they broke it.  Which in my mind makes it even worse.  You'd think a broken training mission would be considered a release-breaking bug.  Nope, not to MS/Asobo.  "Ship it!"

Known issues section of the release notes for the latest patch - https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/release-release-notes-1-14-5-0-sim-update-iii-now-available/375519 (for some reason it is not shown on the known issues page on ZenDesk....  I guess Copying and Pasting is a challenge for them as well)

Same here... worked earlier but noticed the throttle is set low, plane just keeps losing altitude until it crashes into a house.

This is just the annual Microsoft FS Aprils Fools day instructor crash joke.

It happens every year give or take a week or two.
