TBM Switches between Power and Idle during flight

Featured Replies

After the latest update I now have the TBM 930 Improvement Mod switching between power and Idle while on auto pilot. This happened before month's ago but was corrected . It came back today after the first flight after the patch.. Anyone have an idea what could cause that and how it can be corrected? Thank you.

I'll have to check that out, as I often fly that mod.  Whenever there is a patch or update it usually messes up something in the mods.  Mod authors are usually pretty quick in making corrections, so I would check the mod home page and see if there is an update to download or any comments.

The other thing is that this may be control-related.  Patches/updates will sometimes mess up sensitivity/control settings.  Go to your settings and reset your throttle control sensitivity, etc. and then fly.  Hopefully, normal control will return unless the mod needs adjusting.

I'll try the settings and see what the results are.

I noticed that on approach the propeller noticeably slowed down more thatn usual. that might suggest that the Throttle settings need adjusting.

Thanks for your help.

No issues here with TBM9 and MODS after the last patch. I've done about 5 flights all OK.

My issue turned out to be control related. After the update I had to reconfigure my HOTAS and now it works fine. It also played havoc with my graphics but that was easily corrected. Thanks for your input.

Good to hear!  After your post, I made sure to reset my control interfaces before flying again.

I took the TBM up for the first time since the update and ironically had no issues.  I had one of the smoothest flights ever - no stutters, very accurate weather, AND for the first time, the modded g3000/AP made a complete coupled RNAV approach, including following the glideslope.  I've seen others post that they've been able to do this, but I've always had to control the descent phases manually.

I'll have to try the RNAV approach. I have the Mod g3000  but did not think of trying out the RNAV approach..
