Hi all, On the "New Map" topic, I could not unzip the "the File" with z7 although Winzip worked. Then I found maps/earth/ and 8 sub folders starting with Google-Maps-sat. No data file. I then added the full maps folder to the LNM folder and no change in options. Then I tried the earth folder only and again no change in options. I am definitely missing a step since everyone is so pleased with what is being offered. Any help will be appreciated. Rolf

Solution at hand! P3D went to video card that did not support Direct X10 (NVIDEA GE Force 8800) and would not start. I disconnected that card leaving ATI and all is well. I will be getting a new card this weekend and should be able to use all Monitors. I experimented and took a few flights and I must say I am impressed. I installed FTX Global 1.1 and FSX will be on the way out in the near future. I am sorry that so many appear to have negative experiences. I am looking forward to installing all of my add-ons that fit P3D. Regards, Rolf

Thank you very much. My problem appears to be bigger then I thought. I updated drivers and my ATI Radeon supports Direct X. Perhaps replacing the NVIDIA GeForce 8800 with a newer version might be the answer. Then I would be running two NVIDIA cards. Surely that would do it. Any suggestions? Thanks again. Rolf

I installed P3D v2 and all went well. ... Until I started P3D then it stated that P3D was unable to initialize the rendering system. check DirectX 11 support Video Cards and or update drivers. I updated drivers however will the following cards support DirectX 11? ATI Radeon HD 5800 NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS or is it time for new cards? I tried to find the answer myself but no success> Thank you.

I started out with Vancouver + and I am impressed. I till have to read the Manual :( but wow what scenery so far.Thank you for that recommendation.

Hi all,One Airport that I am missing that fits in with the Orbx scenery is Vancouver. I would like to get one and I seem to have read somewhere that Holger had a hand in creating a terrific version. I thought that I would post the request for assistance in locating that airport here, just in case the non-comp clause rears it ugly head in the Orbx forum. Any guidance would be appreciated.

I own all North American ORBX Scenery as well as all of the Airports from 7S3 in the South to to PAKT in Alaska. I also own a Lancair although it does not do much for me. I followed J van E in purchasing the RV7 from Baytower. It is a souped up version of the Katana and is simply great for VFR flying in ORBX country.

Stephen,You may recall that I had the OOM at the Moncton Flight College Demo. I brought it into the guys that built my computer and they simply cleared out all my start activity (msconfig). It has been working smoothly since then. Now this is less complicated then the solution offered a couple of posts above but I am keeping my fingers crossed. Rolf
