No Power on the GTN750 (resolved)

Featured Replies

After an X-plane update and a Windows update and a video card update all yesterday, the GTN will not power up.  The screen is blank on the unit.   Just wondering how I can/should fix this?   This is the first problem I have had with it.

I do not fly XP, however, did you take time to look through previous discussions here?  I believe you may find your solution quicker that way than waiting for a response, which based on what you have provided so far will likely be requests for you to provide more information.  May not end up being the case for you but more often than not these types of issues are not unique to one user, and thus previously resolved.  If that does not bring success you might also read through the RXP GTN forum here for FSX/P3D as issues caused by Windows updates are often common across simulators.

There was an issue a month or two ago with windows defender quarantining a dll. I'm sure you can find a ton of related posts.  Check to see if your antivirus has caused this issue.

Got it up and running.  Just needed an update to be done.  I'm not the most tech savvy.  Easier doing the real thing sometimes 😆

I found that if an update of the GTN trainer was done, you might need to run the 'rxpGTN-XPL-Setup.exe' again. It might say it is up to date, but continue and it will reinstall the link between RXP and the GTN trainer.

In the rxpGTN.xpl.log in my Documents folder I saw it was not able to find the trainer; After running 'rxpGTN-XPL-Setup.exe' and restarting X-Plane that issue was gone.
