April 3, 20215 yr As I understand it after fruitless attempts to make it work, I can not assign LVars to buttons directly, only with a script. Did I get it right? Is it in that case a function that we can hope for in a future version. I do not master scripts and would like to assign LVars directly to a button /Thomas Thomas ( Sundsvall, ESNN, Sweden) MSFS 2024, Intel 9 9900K Oc 5 GHZ 16MB, Corsair Hydro H150i PRO RGB 360mm, ASUS GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER 8GB ROG, 2 Corsair Force M2 MP600 1TB+500Gb, ASUS ROG MAXIMUS XI HERO Z390 MB, Corsair 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 3200Mhz CL16, Fractal Design Define S2 Vision, Win 10 Home, BenQ 32" PD3200U 4K IPS monitor A2A Comanche, WB Sim Cessna 152

It will be fixed in the next version. I thought that a bug notice had been put up about this, but it obviously isn't prominent enough. Sorry about that. That being said - functionally there is no difference to creating a script. Directly assigned Lvars are wrapped in a script too, you just can't see it. This direct assignment is just a convenience method. The direct assignment only works for really simple use cases, like writing 0 or 1 into an Lvar or Hvar. But with MSFS there are so many functions controlled with Lvars and Hvars that require complex scripts (= they won't work with a direct assignment!!), that these direct button assignments are only of limited use. People are starting to upload their scripts to flightsim dot to, so that would be a good place to start looking for resources. Edited April 3, 20215 yr by Lorby_SI LORBY-SI
