  3. I use P3D 5.3. I open MSFS sometimes, but I get bored pretty quickly. The scenery is overwhelming. Overall though, MSFS is a game, a toy and P3D a flight simulator with all its flaws. I'm waiting for A2A to come out with their Comanche. When that happens I'm not sure it will change my mind, MSFS is above all a toy to attract children for a little while.
  4. Despite all the additions, we are impatiently waiting for something from A2A
  5. One of the biggest disadvantages of the MSFS camera system is that you can't use the X-box controller for camera control in the cockpit, like in P3D, without it being a white dot in the center of the image. MSFS has responded that this is how it should be, apparently an adaptation for Xbox.
  6. Finally I got it to work. I chose a default aircraft in LINDA I removed all connections to buttons. Thank you for your time! /Thomas
  7. Andrew, none of what you suggested works. It doesn't seem to be removable. If I add another function the original one remains and the button performs both. Is it possible to edit any file? /Thomas
  8. The assignments are colored red, what does that mean? /Thomas
  9. I already have an assignment, gear up down, to buttons 11 and 12 on my Honeycomb Alpha joystick but I want to remove it. It cannot be removed. Neither the command "Remove assignment" eller " Do nothing" fungerar. Buttons 11 and 12 still control gear up and down. The Aircraft is A2A Bonanza and I use the Bonanza module. /Thomas
  10. Problem solved. Why it didn't work before but does now I don't know. Now GTN for P3D works with Garmin trainer for TDS GTNXi.
  11. Thank you for this. Just a thought, isn't the difference compared to my problem that GTN XP and GTN P3D use the same Garmin trainer?
  12. I use P3D as my main simulator but sometimes there will be a flight in MSFS. Now I have a problem that any other user of both simulators should have encountered. In P3D I use RXP Gtn 750/650 for my aircraft from A2A. Now I have acquired the TDS GTNXi 750/650 for MSFS for use in the JF Piper Piper Arrow which is the only aircraft I use in MSFS. It works great. But ....after installing TDS, RXP does not work in P3D. As far as I understand this is because TDS uses a different version of the Garmin trainer. Is there any way around this or do you have to reinstall with Garmin every time you change simulator
  13. Which I find compelling response from A2A and Dudley Henriques to all A2A fans concerns about what the future looks like https://a2asimulations.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=73382 /Thomas
  14. Hi Thanks for the quick reply. I did select Fault Diagnosis Mode (via Maintenance page). I don't understand why it didn't work. But obviously the problem is not there. It is true that I have MSFS installed in N:/MSFS 2020. In that folder there is Community and Offical/OneStore folder. I haven't had any problems with FSUIPC. I want MSFS in this folder because it is the fastest disk I have. Is there no way to change where LINDA looks for the installation. After all, there are many people who have MSFS on its own separate disk.
  15. There must be something I'm doing wrong. I want to be able to use different profiles for different aircraft in MSFS. I open "Create new aircraft module definition" in LINDA. The problem is that it doesn't show installed aircraft as described in the LINDA 4.1.0 Release Notes. There are no aircraft displayed at all. I fill in the "Module name" and the second field "Aircraft search string" but I can't complete and create. What am I doing wrong. I have latest version of LINDA for MSFS and latest FSUIPC for MSFS /Thomas
  16. Fligtsimstore also here, but that does not matter. Majestic has taken over the FSS commitment.
  17. Hmmm...in the Majestic user area there is no 1.024. There is only 1.021. ??? /Thomas
  18. I am trying to understand this with the use of the Job Scheduler in P3D. When I think I understand at least some of it, I read @SteveW reply to @shermank who has a processor ( Intel Core i7-10700) with the same number of cores (8) and HT enabled as I have in my Intel Core i9-9900K. P3D gives me an AffinityMask=65535 and not 65493. Why isn´t the AM the same from P3D? Here is what I use P3D.cfg [JobScheduler] AffinityMask=65535 P3DCoreAffinityMask=1364 MainThreadScheduler=0 RenderThreadScheduler=2 FrameWorkerThreadScheduler=3 There's something I haven't understood right? /Thomas
  19. I need some help to understand all parts of JobScheduler in P3D. I have an I9-9900K, using HT and have followed Rob A's advice earlier in the thread. I have moved P3D off core 0 and put P3D on cores 1-5 (not any HT core). I use core 6 and 7 for AS, Chaseplane and a few others. Now to my question. This is how it looks in P3D.cfg after changing as above. AffinityMask=65535 P3DCoreAffinityMask=1364 MainThreadScheduler=0 RenderThreadScheduler=2 FrameWorkerThreadScheduler=4 I assume that MainThreadScheduler=0 should be changed to =1 because I have removed P3D from Core 0. And what values should be specified for the entries RenderThreadScheduler and FrameWorkerThreadScheduler. Or is it that all the values in these three entries should be left untouched? As you can see, I need some help to understand /Thomas
  20. Thanks for all ansvars. I go for the IFly, /Thomas
  21. I'm thinking of getting a 737 for P3D v5.3. Should I go with PMDG or IFly? I feel uncertain with PMDG and their lack of clarity on further updates for P3D. At the same time I have a feeling , right or wrong, that PMDG would be ahead of IFly in terms of system depth. Thankful for tips. /Thomas
  22. Hi Rob This is what the installation instructions say - The installer will run automatically. - Follow the installer prompts and the base version of the software will be installed. - When the installer is finished, the iFly ReadBGL tool will pop up. Select “ALL” and then run the tool. This reads all scenery files to create airport maps for the Electronic Flight Bag (EFB). - RE-BOOT your system. This ensures that the iFly software is correctly initialized. - Run the iFly Configuration Tool (shortcut installs on the desktop) to apply aircraft options and load fuel, pax and cargo. - Start P3D v5.2+, set the Scenario screen to display on startup, and select the desired iFly Jets Advanced Series model. /Thomas
