  1. I did read the entire thread regarding the issues with the FSDT version and I am not sure I want to go down that road again. I will probably opt for the DD version, and I already have the Chicago city pack so the two should complement each other very well. I do have the original FSDT KORD and am qualified for the 20% discount but it still seems that you get much more with the DD version for roughly the same price. Cheers, Pete
  2. Since I have not yet purchased either the FSDT or the DD KORD, and with the DD airports currently on sale, I am hoping to get opinions on which one to get. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Pete
  3. I am a bit confused about the discount. My order info says I originally purchased FSDT O'Hare in 2009, but it refers on the FSDT website to the "2011 version." Am I not entitled to the discount? Was there another version that I didn't purchase? Cheers, Pete
  4. Thanks to all for your help, all is well now! I'm pretty sure it was a scenery issue. Cheers, Pete
  5. Hello - I am at a complete loss here. I just did a complete resintall of P3dV4 and cannot get past the splash screen. The little wheel just keeps turning but never ends. I did watch a video where you remove a couple of folders and and deleted generated scenery, but that didn't work either. I have no idea how to proceed here. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers, Pete
  6. I may grab the 757 Captain III for FSX as for $12 may not be a bad way to try the plane out. I use almost exclusively P3dV4 but for $12 may be worth it. Cheers, Pete
  7. Did anyone mention Southern Airways? I flew them to Florida from EWR when I was a small child. Also, I flew Kiwi International from Midway MDW to EWR a few times back in the 90's. Cheers, Pete
  8. MS Flight Simulator 98. Cheers, Pete
  9. My first solo was the year 2000 in a Piper Warrior at Schaumburg Regional Airport (06C) about 8 miles west of O'Hare. My instructor was getting angry at me because I wasn't having the prettiest landings, but after three good ones he set me free. This is for sure something I will never forget, and in fact, I found it easier to land alone than with the instructor inside. Cheers, Pete
  10. Rod Michado's Private Pilot Handbook is great, I used it when I was training for my private pilot license. Cheers, Pete
  11. How did you fix the Air Canada dupicate livery issue? I had the same problem. BTW, I love the plane, looks great, sounds great, easy to fly. Cheers, Pete
  12. Thanks I will look into this later when is get back from work. Cheers, Pete
