April 18, 20215 yr Just wondering how it's done by others. Thanks. Hardware: i7-8700k, GTX 1070-ti, 32GB ram, NVMe/SSD drives with lots of free space. Software: latest Windows 10 Pro, P3Dv4.5+, FSX Steam, and lots of addons (100+ mostly Orbx stuff).

Turning the AP on should turn that light off. If the aircraft is powered up and the engines are running to provide hydraulic pressure, the Q Unit warning light should go off. My understanding is that in the real a/c the Q Unit warning can also indicate a 'disagreement' between what the the Air Data Computer thinks the position of the elevator or aileron Q Units should be, and what the Q Unit positions actually are, but I don't think the ADC is modeled in this Falcon50. So in either case there are no simple switches to 'disarm' the warning lights so they don't go on when they are suppose too. Al

I've been doing the same start-up procedure many times but this time around the Q. Unit warning came up and I was wondering why. Thanks. As I understand it, "Arthur Q Units" are hydraulic driven mechanisms in the linkage path between the yoke and the ailerons and elevator that adjust the yoke force required for a given control surface deflection based on airspeed. The sensitivity of the ailerons and elevator varies with airspeed -- e.g., a small elevator deflection at high speed has the same effect as a large deflection at low speed. So as speed increases the Q Unit increases the force required for a given control surface deflection to prevent over controlling of the a/c. The Q Units are part of the yoke 'artificial feel' system.
